Tend the Tenders Fund

Living and working as a somatic practitioner in the Hudson Valley, I have had the honor of working with a number of farmers seeking relief and intelligent embodiment for their hard-working vessels.

 

Farm laborers do the hard and beautiful work of using their bodies to tend the land and manifest the food we eat.  I love working with these humans, who I consider the bodyworkers of the earth, and seen the benefits of one-on-one somatic care.

What will it do? This fund is designed to provide earth workers with ongoing bodywork that can keep them connected and in healthy alignment with their own labor bodies. The funds will go to non-profit farms and farm collectives whose work regenerates the land and serves queer, BIPOC, and under-resourced communities. You can help make this happen with a donation of any size. Funds will support subsidized sessions for individual farmers, and contribute to developing on-site programs for sustained care that serve entire teams of workers.

What does it cost? $100 subsidizes one session for a farm worker. $2,500 would provide a full team of farmers regular care for an entire season. Any amount is supportive, and greatly appreciated.
